We think we have a discerning group of parents who want great instruction, great values, and a passionate mature (average age 25) group of counselors who reach out to the campers.

Who are the Directors?

Bill & Martha Lerman are 2nd generation camp directors who are known for their hands on, active teaching involvement in the program. Martha is the consummate camp mom! Bill, Martha, and the staff create an environment where boys can realize their dreams. Bill and Martha now work full time with their kids, Lori Lerman Rotman, her husband, Alex Rotman, and Bobby Lerman.

Where is Caribou located?

Camp Caribou is located in Winslow, ME about 3 hours north of Boston in the central part of the state. Waterville, ME, a city of 25,000 (Home to Colby College), is 6 miles from camp.

What type of staff do you hire?

Many are recommended from current staff who know that we look for passionate and exciting lamplighters. Our staff are all specialists in their coaching fields, who love kids and want to impact their love of their sport!

What type of food will my son eat?

We have excellent food and there is always something for everyone. Wholesome, fresh meats and produce are served with an extensive salad bar for lunch and dinner.

How are the facilities at Caribou?

We are on a beautiful 200 acre peninsula on a 4 mile lake. We have 2 miles of private waterfront. Caribou has its own 1 mile private road, 15 acres of playing fields, a new 10,000 square foot indoor gym with cardio and fitness (weights) rooms, high and low ropes course, street and roller hockey rink, 9 tennis courts, golf range, archery and riflery range.

What type of medical staff do you have at camp?

We have two registered pediatric nurses who live in camp, and another who commutes, along with our camp doctor who is always on call. We have a large, up to date infirmary and a major 300 bed hospital only 6 miles away.
