November News! Caribou Lacrosse, Winter Reunion, & Staff Updates
Hello Caribou Nation, we hope everyone enjoyed the month of October and had a great Halloween! We’ve been very busy up at the ‘Bou with the construction of our brand new Lacrosse field, which is now complete! A big thank you goes out to Bill, Eddie, Jade, JP, Bradwyn, and Cody for all their hard work. This new lacrosse field, along with the large baseball diamond and the A&E, will feature a new irrigation system as well. We cannot wait for 2019 Caribou LAX! Jade and Bradwyn are now back home, however, Cody is staying to live and work at camp this winter in preparation for another awesome summer, stay warm Cody – BOUM!
Cody and Eddie have now focused on completing the new staff housing unit. Check out the photos below!
In other Caribou news, Bobby was recently in Florida meeting with new Caribou Families and catching up with Spencer G, Stephen H, and Moe H. They’re all doing great and can’t wait to get up to the ‘Bou this summer. This month we also saw some fanastic returning staff members sign on for the next summer. Photo Rob, Rafa, Harry (Golf), Grant, Ivan (Kitchen), Big John White, Oshane, and Austin are all in for #bou2019!
Our weekly Sunday Funday fantasy football contests have been exciting and competitive. So far, Avon, Ryan Hargrove, Rob Buglass, Oli, Sasso, Justin Fisher, and Jeff Weinstein have all captured their Sunday Funday T-Shirts. Fish has been the sole repeat winner! This month we are joining the excitement again with International Wear Your Camp T-Shirt Day on November 13th! Break out your best Caribou gear, represent the ‘Bou, and send us a photo of you rocking your Caribou swag. Send all photos to alex@campcaribou.com. Next month on Saturday December 1st, we are focusing on one massive winter reunion. Everyone is invited, near and far! The event will be hosted at Dave & Busters | 234 W 42nd Street, 3rd Floor | New York City, NY 10036 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. We hope to see as many of you as possible!! Also, as a charitable initiative next summer, we are partnering up with the World of Change! There’s an estimated $10 billion in loose change sitting idle in American households – an average of $90 per household not being put to use. This summer, we plan to join this great cause and collect the loose change at the ‘Bou! As a camp community we will decide which cause we would like to contribute to and collect change after town nights and our day trips! Please check out the number of Organizations that the World of Change works with, that we can impact!
